Finally got around to inspecting my Davenola phonograph. Didn't hold much hope for it, after 15 years in a barn, it looked pretty rusty-crusty. Took almost ½ hour to break the turntable loose from the spindle. Pleasant surprise, though, when I took out the motor. Oiled it a little and it works very nicely. Quiet and smooth. Anybody know who made the motors for Davenola phonographs?

In my over 20 years of collecting having bought sold and repaired Heineman Motors, I am pretty sure this is a Heineman motor and the reproducer you have there is also Heineman. Check the bottom or top plate if it says "Motor of Quality", Heineman, General Phonograph or Okeh, then you have Heineman.

I may be wrong on the motor, as I have never seen this particular motor, they offered many variations, many were identical in parts. The trouble on these is usually the fibre drive gear that wears down on the turntable spindle shaft.

Also, it seems the double spring Heineman P5001 motor shows up alot, I was one thrown off by a large double spring Heineman that I rebuilt, it had mainsprings that were almost 2 inches wide, and even George V. had a hard time finding them but he did come through.

Not sure if this will help, but here is a picture of a Heineman motor and an advertisement from 1919-maybe some parts are similar?
