My Victor III set up with oversized Linenoid horn

This is set up in my parents' dining room, normally sporting it's smooth oak horn and exhibition soundbox. Here you see it with the oversized Linenoid brand horn and no. 4 soundbox recently rebuilt by Orthosean. It sounds great. Soft tone needles provide more than enough volume even in the fairly large dinning room.

I have nothing against Victor wood horns (I have a couple of my own), but the aftermarket horns are so much more interesting! That Linenoid looks to be in pristine condition too. Nice!

Here's a closeup of the machine now sporting my Pathé adapter, rebuilt by Orthosean.

That Pathé adapter played really LOUD on my L-Door XVI when I was done with it, I can only imagine how loud it must be on that III, I didn't try it on mine!

Great machine! Amazing that the Linenoid horn survived a century in such great condition.
Thanks

It is LOUD on the Vic III. The only problem is that most of my good Pathé discs are in Europe.

A very nice setup. I like the stand also. Assuming it is period?

The cabinet is period, Poor design though. When those records slide back too far into the slots it's almost impossible to get them out. That's why it's almost empty. Weighs a ton too even when empty.
