Only temporarily. Once the record cracks, playing it with a steel needle will start to take small chips out of the grooves. Also, you can never completely get rid of the little "pop" noise as the needle goes over the damaged groove.

I have had some luck putting 78 discs together with tape. One problem is that sometimes after a disc breaks one of both of the pieces will swell or shrink slightly and you'll never line up the grooves.

;) It's a problem... sometimes get a little crooked, but in my case, are only small cracks on the sides of the discs ... Can you tell me the correct position to store 78's? some say it is vertically and horizontally others say ... I'm a little confused ...
