I am wondering How Many Needles you use per a week assuming each needle is changed once?

On average I go through 6 records a day and 42 needles per week. I use one needle per play. That's 168 needles a month, and about 2,016 needles per year. So thats about 20 packs of needles a year! (If you even pay $5.00 per pack thats only $ 100.00 a year, and keeps the economy going, protects records and derives good sound from records, So change needles every play)

I think I use around 60-70 per week. At the price I pay for needles from Gettysburg Antique Phonographs, it works out to 4 cents per side. I usually buy 300 at a time.
That makes 12" records a better value, than the 5" Little Wonders!

I think on average I play 7 songs per day, so about 50 per week. I buy thousands of needles at a time from Michael Child, they are great and average to ~2cents per play when bought in bulk.

I'm a binge needle user, I might go a couple weeks without using a single needle, but then I'll over-do it one evening with 20 or 30 sides. I regret it the next morning when I look at all the used needles in the discard tin, and I think to my self, I need help... to get ready for the next batch of records

I go back and forth between steel and bamboo depending on how I feel. Bamboo lasts a long time, so it's like comparing gas mileage of an electric car to gas powered car.

I sometimes go weeks without using a phonograph. Then, the craving comes back. lol. I may play one record, or spend a few hours playing records. I never know for sure.

I'm not sure I've ever kept track. I have a used needle cup for each machine, when one starts looking like an ash tray after poker night, I dump it out
