Can anyone tell me the average price of an oak Cygnet horn in fair condition.

Hi Gordon,
Depending on condition I feel the value of an Oak cygnet horn complete with elbow would be worth between $1200 and $1600. If both horn and elbow still have their original finishes and are in fine condition then they would bring the higher value.

I've thought about getting an oak Cygnet horn for my Triumph E,but I've heard they did a comparison between the metal and the wooden horns. Both machines were behind a screen, and the people couldn't tell the difference. What is your take on this?edisonplayer

Hi Edisonplayer
I have only heard wooden horns on the internet through my laptop speakers, so I can't give an opinion on the difference in sound, but you would assume the wooden horn to be a more mellow sound and the metal horn to be more sharper.
I would love to hear them both side by side.
If I can find a metal cygnet that's in good condition and a resonable price that will have to do, I just prefer the look of the wooden ones, but I didn't know they where that sort of money.
Gordon.
