Judging by the high selling price and low seller feedback rating on Ebay, I would speculate this seller falls into one of two categories:
1) An uninformed buyer who realized after spending too much money they were duped and is now trying to recoup some of his/her losses; or
2) A shrewd seller looking to dupe another uninformed buyer that they are buying some beautiful, unique and collectible machine.
Either way, it's a crap-o-phone plain and simple. At lease the seller is representing the machine as new, and not some antique.
For the benefit of those who may see this posting after the listing has expired and been removed from Ebay:

At first I was disturbed that there was a bid on this at $3000, but the bidder has 0 feedback, which screams shill bidding.

I thought shill bidding only worked if there were other bidders

Could be some smarty-pants who registered and then bid to get the sellers hopes up.
