Which horn is correct?

Anybody know which of these horns is correct for this duplex Concert machine? It appears to be German, possibly made by EWC. It seems to me that since most people are right handed, the bent horn configuration (cor-de-chasse or hunting horn) would work best for winding. I've got other similar machines (Sublime, Girard Omega) that also use a hunting horn.
Anybody know where I could find another hunting horn?
Regards,
Scott

Cor de chasse horns are typical in French machines, but anyone could buy one in Germany at the time and fit their machine with it, so in my view it would be ok to fit your machine. It looks nicer than the straight horn. As to the ergonomics, even with the cor de chasse installed the user would have to reach to the back of the machine to raise and lower the reproducer, so you cannot have it all...

Scott, the sound from the Cor de chasse horn would come out upside down....

On the question of where to find these cor-de-chasse horns, as far as I know there are no modern manufacturers. The only place I saw these been advertised is the French ebay, and quite infrequently. These are more often seen advertised with their phonographs, and given the irrationality of the market, sometimes it is cheaper to buy the whole combination phonograph-horn than just the standalone horn.

It's OK Steve. I stand on my head when I play this machine. Sounds perfect that way.

Definitely cor de chasse horn, though ideally I think it should have a longer neck -- more like this type. (No, this is not for sale...)
