And not in the worst shape, but that gloss has had its day.
The reproducing head seems to cause lots of crackling when high notes or loudness is reached. I'm thinking it means I have to crack the head open and look at the gaskets. But, I'm reluctant as after a few of these, they're different enough between makes that makes taking parts apart ever so risky.

It is the loudest player i've ever come across. Yes, the grille is upside down. It was also smashed and reconstructed at one point. The Left door was also breached. The lower concealed hinge is missing. The vendor sold it me with the doors off. I asked him for the doors though ;) ( funny, I wonder if he has the back panel as well?) ....
Picked it up for 125.00 This is my third Machine in 3 weeks. Addicted much? :P
Auto-stop still works too.

So what do my peers on TMF think?

Nice machine! I'm guessing it's got the same horn a smaller size orthophonic would have had (like a 4-7?) For smaller machines, I was always impressed with their volume.

I got tired of looking at that worn-out finish.

I don't think the artisan intended it to look so dull....

The piece isn't all that rare, so I did away with what was visible.

I am not best pleased with the repair job on the left volume door. I'll get back to that later.

Almost done. I've left the inside and the grille alone.
