Looking at those, it's amazing how some of them are _very_ common today (if there's a day you can hit eBay and not see something on that leaflet, I'd be amazed), yet some of them never seem to turn up.
I guess the original prices would help explain it. What's the nicest / most expensive model pre-HMV Columbia produced?
Cheers,
David.

The price of the 113A was 50 Guineas ( £52.10.00 ) you could by a Standard motor car in 1933 for £159 ! So the Columbia price seems huge to me 1/3rd the price of a small car

I would like to have the 131a with the 9 ft horn please.
It could also go next to my HMV 194.

This was the most expensive Columbia in the 1913/14 catalogue, a huge sum one hundred years ago. Whether it was the nicest is a matter of opinion!
The 131a of 1929 is near the top of my dream machine list, just behind the Seymour Superphone and the EMG Mark VII.

I certainly will, but it runs to 28 pages and may take a little time.
I also have a 1908 catalogue, featuring both disc and cylinder machines, which I can post.
It is refreshing to see some interest in UK Columbia, which has been under the shadow of HMV for far too long.

1913 Columbia catalogue coming up. As pdf files and hyperlinks are beyond my understanding I am splitting the pages over more than one post. Here goes......
