I need something to RESTORE

It has been a while since the rejuvenation of Edison Amberola 1-A Serial #2, and the nickel plated Class M. I have not been losing sleep over anything lately, and I am outwardly asking for a new project to obsess over.
My future project requirements:
A. I want something to restore that needs severe attention. Barn-basement-attic-shed finds WELCOME! Bird droppings on lid? .......ALL THE BETTER!
B. It must be more than somewhat significant. No Birch suitcase models need apply....
C. I am willing to purchase the project machine, or restore for customer.
D. It should be *mostly* complete.
I do not want something that needs just a spritz & and wipe.

Does my faith in humanity qualify?

I've got a really beat "mae west" Sonora that could conceivably be restored... missing the tone-arm and reproducer and grille, but motor is intact...
Just have to get it from Scranton to where you are...

I get a good number of my resto projects on craigslist for very little money. I think that is what I actually collect- projects.

If you're looking for a
real challenge, you could take a trip to Iran to find and restore the Columbia Multiplex Grand…

Wyatt,
My Expert Minor horn still needs attention. Awaiting restoration of the cabinet before I proceed further, as I think you'll need the horn secured in it's socket to properly do the job. It's a challenge, and certainly meets all of your criteria. So, the question obviously is: Are you up for it?

That's easy. Just don't listen to the news or watch TV.

Well I have a Edison B-1 cabinet - the motor was stolen out of it before I got it but, definitely project material. Veneer needs attention all over except the lid, hardware is there, cylinder drawers are there but need work, horn, drip pan, motor support and wood around the motor area is good. Edison tag is there, casters are there. The grill frame is there but the vandals broke the center out. The machine is solid, no splintered frame wood. As I stated with exception of the lid which is nice it needs veneering (all flat surfaces). This would be right up your alley. I restored machines for years and years and love bringing a piece back to life. My last was an Edison B-9 Chalet bought as junk (photos on the forum, believe around Nov of last year.) I'm located in Warrenton, Va.

I think I have found you a worthwhile project.
