On June 12, a picker arrived in my driveway with this Triumph - fresh out of an attic in Hornell, NY (about an hour away from me). If I didn't already have a B with some extra bells & whistles, I'd certainly keep this one. Never diddled with, no damage, no abuse, no parts switched out, just the way it emerged from that attic - only now a lot cleaner. Just look at the pinstriping and corner decorations. The shaver is still there too. The original finish is good, with slight alligatoring which I've tried to show in the photos. Two of the rubber feet on the bottom were missing, so I installed 4 new feet as well as lubricated the motor and rebuilt the Model C Reproducer with fresh gaskets. There's really nothing more to do to this Triumph. It's ready for someone's living room, and it plays perfectly. The lid retains the original wooden shipping braces inside. The top of the front panel has a small area filed down to accommodate a Hawthorne & Sheble horn crane, but this can't be easily seen as it's under the top frame. (The bottom of the H&S crane came with the machine, and if the new owner would like it, that can be arranged.) If you've been looking for a nice Triumph with all its original parts, and in really nice condition, this one would certainly fill the bill. I'm asking $1000 for this Triumph, and can deliver it for free to the Wayne show this fall or next spring, or even Union next June if you want to wait that long. If you'd like to pick this up at my home, that can easily be arranged. If you'll need this shipped, I can properly pack for shipment, with the buyer paying shipping costs.

I'll be happy to provide additional photos of anything you'd like to see. I've included some "before" photos just for fun. The first person to write "sold" will have a beautiful example of a Triumph B, worthy of any collection.

Be sure to click on the photos below and enlarge them for detail.

Thanks for looking!

With the Wayne show approaching next month, I thought I'd offer this beautiful Triumph again. I've added a photo of the inside of the lid, showing the original wooden shipping braces. Also the very clean motor with the hand-painted "OIL" on the spring barrels. Finally, I will include the original Hawthorne & Sheble crane base that was found with this machine in an attic this summer. It's the earliest version of the H&S No.5 crane, and it's been with this Triumph for over a century. There's no point in separating them now.

It's not often we can trace a provenance for a talking machine, and still less often we can find Edison's flagship Phonograph in this condition. For a collector who truly appreciates quality, this Triumph would be a nice addition to even an advanced collection.

Please look at the photos I posted earlier and the new ones below. This beautiful machine needs a good home.

Best to all,
George P.

Well I would hope so! It should have sold the first day. Lucky buyer. I have one in equally nice condition otherwise the lucky buyer would not be so lucky!
