A new Craigslist ad:

Has some serious veneer issues, might be able to get a better price....

Good luck! CDB

I think it is a Victrola No.130. Not a VV-XVII. Note the position of the needle cups.

It turned out to be a VV-130 (good eye gramophone78) and it's American Walnut. After a little negotiation, I bought it and it currently is disassembled and headed towards a restoration. Does anyone have an idea how to get the doors off a late Victrola like this? I would especially like to thank Cliff for the heads up on this Victrola. It will be stunning when complete. Thanks, Jerry

I saw that it was American Walnut. There is a small hole on the hinge and I use a good stiff paper clip to push down the latch behind the hole. This is the same hinge used on the Victor "Period" models. Nice find Jerry!!!
