I am consolidating my collection, and have decided to sell my oak HMV 163 gramophone. You simply don't see these every day, and this one works, looks, and sounds great! Actually, the sound is amazing. It's just as good, if not better, than a Victor Credenza, and in a much smaller package.

The motor runs nice and quiet, and the start/stop mechanism also works correctly. Mechanically, this piece is perfect. The exterior of the cabinet has been refinished some time ago, possibly before it was imported, but looks really nice. There is also a little wear to the tone arm near the reproducer, but again, nothing major. That's it! This is a nice piece, and if I weren't running out of room, I'd keep it! Put it on Ebay buy it Now it is so cheap to list and sell , I sold a 163 recently for £800 , much more than you are asking !

I should also add that if you are remotely interested, we should talk. You're just not going to find another one of these in the states anytime soon for $750. To import one from the U.K. would cost at least $1500 alone in shipping, and I know, because I've done it before on other pieces. This is a quality machine that sounds every bit as good as a Credenza, and it is in a more compact case.

Will also consider delivery along the eastern seaboard.
