Recently whenever I play a a two minute record of any kind on my Edison standard B with 2/4 minute gearing it has a warble to it. It happends on any record I play and I know that the wax is not warped because it recently just started doing it and also it does it with my celluloid records too. It's realley starting to get on my nerves and I would just like to know how to fix it.

When I went to shoot the video it STOPED

. My machine is really weird problems happen for a while then they disappear and they NEVER happen again like a year ago for a whole day no sound would come out of my machine

!!! So I have no idea why it does stuff like that, I'm very sorry for wasting space.

Remember that these old things are haunted and have there own little personality! Just kidding. In reality these machines change performance with heat, and humidity, the barometric pressure can make machines sound muddy or not make sound at all. belts loosen and tighten with temperature and humidity, bearings change with temperature, can be tight in hot weather, and loose in cold.

I have a similar problem with my Amberola. Sometimes I feel like the planets need to align just right to play a cylinder. It works perfect one day, then skips the next.

I think you may be right.
I had a terrible time with my Amberola 50 warbling. I tried thing after thing. Eventually it all came down to some very minor adjustment. I don't even remember what that was now. Since then she has been a perfect lady.
