Victor Holy Grail, does it exist???

Yes, I’ve heard stories of other collectors having seen the 1901 Victor DeLuxe Monarch, (in other collections).
And yes, I have seen antique pictures of proud original owners in books. BUT, I have yet to see any contemporary photo's of this Ultra-Rare machine.

Some just have Faith that it exists, but I'm the kind of guy who needs to see proof!
I have searched the web to no avail, and have only found these scans from a 1973 catalog reprint made by Allen Koenigsberg.

Please Post if you have any photos. I would just love to see detailed photo's of this machine as a Featured Phonograph!

[I believe that Columbia also produced a similar heavily carved disc machine, would also love to see pic's.]

The only thing I have ever seen was a Victor 6 in a Douglas cabinet. Sandfilipo or however his name is spelled bought it some years ago for 20,000.00. But it wasn't nowhere as fancy as this machine. I would like to see it also.

It pays to have all the Fabrizio & Paul books. Try page 60 of "A World of Antique Phonographs" it is pictured there.

Below you will find the Columbia version. This was uncovered last week by a friend of mine.

Yes, there are 2.5 of these Victor Deluxe Monarch's that I know of. I think only one has the original vine carved travel arm. There are four record cabinets that I know of and one is in Canada. George & Tim show a period photo of a family on their front porch with their deluxe Monarch. A very cool photo. There is also a Columbia machine very similar in design. There has been at least one of those (Columbia) for sale years ago at Union.

Bob,there is a real pic of one in the LFD book.

Isn't the Columbia version the four faces of the theatre? Jerry

Here's the Columbia version as offered for sale at Union in 2004. I don't recall the price, nor if it sold or not.
