After the Edison plant stopped all phonograph and (short lived) radio production in West Orange, they went on to manufacture Edicraft appliances (very short lived) the Televoice Voicewriter, and many aircraft instruments during WW-2. Of course the real money maker was in the building across the street - the Edison Battery Division. The Portland Cement business in New Village had already failed. So I guess my question is what else did Thoam A. Edison manufacture at the West Orange plant / labs after the old man died in 1931 until it was sold off in 1957 to McGraw?

Interesting question and I'll be looking forward to the responses I will say that I think the Voicewriter did extremely well until 1950 or so, consequently it would take a significant amount of factory space. If the Canadian market is any indication, the Dictaphone and the Voicewrter were more than evenly matched in terms of market share given the surviving examples.( Edison wins, as far as I can tell) Edison advertised the Voicewriter extensively in the late 30s. I've always wondered how and why Dictaphone came to rule the late 1950s.
