Nightmare....

Saturday I went into a local bakery to make sure the Brownies were edible. It took 2 for me to decide they are still good to eat.

When I looked up I saw this. I told my wife I felt like a PETA member in a Taxidermy shop!

Well at least two were repos and two others were shot to heck.

Sometimes they can be resurrected, if not modified too much. I bought the horn for my Vic II as a pool table lamp and the horn is still good. Unfortunately they had cut off the elbow though :x

You should buy them ! If not let some others know where exactly they are , may be they can buy them , they shouldn't be left there !

It appears as though they probably aren't for sale, since this is a bakery and they are mounted to the ceiling.

Rough cylinder horns with bad original finishes are on great oversupply on this side of the pond. I personally don't mind the "lampification" of this sort of horn, but do shudder when I see a god disc horn so treated. I converted a half-dozen cylinder horns into these awful chandeliers after seeing an excellent large Victor disc horn (the L size horn which was offered as standard equipment on the Victor V) so converted. The horns that I converted had lost their original finishes in my late fire and were of no particular value, whilst the Victor horn was nearly perfect, with an excellent original decal. I offered the group of these horns to the dealer with the Victor horn and received it in part exchange for them. I cont this as saving one original horn at the loss of some garbage.
