Diamond Disc Discography

I was much more a cylinder collector than a DD collector until recently. While I know of the various CYLINDER "discographies," what are some sources for DD listings, specifically the later paper-label ones, besides the Charles Gregory volumes? I thought maybe someone had compiled a listing, like Allen Koenigsberg's ECR 1889-1912. Any suggestions/help would be appreciated.

Well, there's the series Ray Wile is doing through the Mainspring Press - www.mainspringpress.com - as well as the online downloadable excel spreadsheet from truesound: http://www.truesoundtransfers.de/disco.htm

I haven't seen the Wile books, but I've heard they're great. I use the online truesound site frequently though...

I have a complete Edison diamond disc discography entitled Edison Diamond Disc Recreations, Records & Artists, 1910-1929. It's a spiral-bound book and the work does not indicate who compiled it.

Thanks, guys. I wasn't aware of the Truesound spreadsheet, but this is pretty much what I needed. Thanks ever so much for your help!

Bill,

I have a sortable version of the Truesound spreadsheet here, as well as a combined spreadsheet with cylinders on another tab in the post below it. So if you’re using the Truesound spreadsheet, you might find the improved spreadsheets easier to use.

The Ray Wile Discograpy covers 1926-1929. Is he planning to supplement it with other volumes to cover the rest of the catalogue? Does anyone know?

His blue amberol book is great.

My understanding is that the entire series is going to be available eventually.
