Came across an ad in the Hillandale News (1967) for the "Vertigo Attachment" to allow an EMG/Expert to play vertical-cut tecords. Priced 17s. 6d. from E.Murray-Harvey of Norfolk. Unfortunately no pictures.
Does anyone know what this it?

All I can think of is that it might be the Vicsonia but I have never heard of it being called a "vertigo attachment". It works quite well but Brunswick Ultona is better.

I mainly use the Vicsonia on an EMG. Excellent sound. I'll have to try an Ultona.
The ad suggests an attachment , I presume that allows the Expert or EMG soundbox to play vertical- cut records.

Here is a link to an EMG Xb Oversize playing an Edison vertically cut disc with a Brunswick Ultona soundbox. It is first necessary to make a (brass) adaptor to allow this. If you would like one I shall get busy on the lathe........

Please excuse the fact that the horn appears black---it is actually one of the new ones and light grey !---but the scene was lit by an arc-light which confuses the automatic settings on the camera.

I have just written to Mr E Murray-Harvey at the Norwich address to enquire further. He is probably long gone as a trader but you never know what can turn up.........I have asked for the letter to be forwarded etc.
