Here's another of Harvey's parts that needs identification. Can you help? Thanks, Jerry and Harvey

This looks like a brake from an early Canadian Berliner.

It's possible. However, it looks longer and modified by someone.

Possibly a European model; perhaps French. Below are photos of both a French model and a Canadian (although the Canadian example was modified for 10 inch records) that both used a similar design.

I thought about the extended version of Berliner's (Canadian) early brake. However, the brake body is untouched. Only the inner barrel (extended) and the mounting bracket are different. Not sure about European variations. The brake in question has a slightly extended outer barrel.

Thanks to all for all the information on this brake. A few years ago, I got a call from my favorite antique dealer about a box of odd parts that was part of an estate that was settled. I saw the brake and bought the parts. For the past few years, I was wondering what that brake was. I don't think that it was ever modified. It looks too good. The mention of a European Berliner sounds plausible to me.

Here's a similar concept.

The tone arm is very odd
