A later style Junior Monarch single spring motor gramophone with black painted morning glory horn.

As far as I can judge this machine is all of a piece, rather than made up. It's complete and works. The horn is of the earlier pattern with a cylindrical collar between the 'petals' and the elbow, and no sign of an HMV transfer. The sound box is a GCL-branded Exhibition. The felt on the turntable is replaced; otherwise it is all period.

The woodwork is in good order, and has most (but not all) of its Gramophone Co. transfer in place. The nickel work is reasonably complete and reasonably bright on the back bracket and arm; the inside paint on the horn (I'm sure it's original) is excellent, though on the outside of the horn there is a characteristic pattern of corrosion around the seams and pleats. The nickel isn't good round the platter. The soundbox has a modern replacement rubber back and so works quite well.

Note that I'm in the United Kingdom. I'm asking £650 for the machine.
