This late acoustic Sonora is something of a rarity in the UK, but remains unsold.
Unfortunately it would involve a 700 mile round trip with overnight accomodation for me to collect it.

I dunno, it sounds pretty darn good to my ear. I think the turntable may be running a bit fast, as Nat Cole's voice here has an unfamiliar (to me) timbre due to its being pitched higher than it sounds in other recordings---and he made a kazillion of them (great singer!). At the moment I'm too lazy to get up and check it against my LP recording of "Mona Lisa." In any case, it may be a simple matter to adjust the speed. Assuming the sound box needs rebuilding, I'm guessing that this machine would be a brilliant performer.

I didn't know that it was possible to drive 700 miles in the UK unless you got stuck in a roundabout, but if the machine were over here I'd be tempted. :P
