I would say these are pretty clean records requiring little processing with audacity like proper EQ some pop click removal Very nice recordings of some great Dvorak Slavonic Dances

I own this album set, Victor DM-345, five ten-inch records containing opp. 46 and 72, Czech Philharmonic Orchestra conducted by Vaclav Talich, recorded in Europe. The record surfaces on my set are very quiet, and the Czechs certainly know how to do Dvorak!

Thanks I am glad you are enjoying them. I really like classical music and the great thing is you can get the sets for relatively cheap when I find them around here usually less than $10 and in really good shape well taken care of with booklet etc. I had a good 2 weeks after a couple of month dry spell 6 sets! I have quite a few sets from Mozart Bethoven to Wagner Thou spake Zathursa ( Spelling?) is a great one. etc. As winter months approach I will try to post more some electric some acoustic ( which i will record off my Victrola) I am also getting into Edison cylinders and maybe a diamond disc player If I can talk my wife into it so music will abound!

I also find classical sets with the records in great condition quite frequently. Does that mean they were better taken care of or hardly listened to? Definitely less wear than "party records".

Thus Spake Zarathustra was written by Richard Strauss, not Wagner. I would very much like to hear that recording, I've never heard it on 78s.

Yeah I knew it was Strauss but thanks for pointing it in case other don't The recording was suppose to be the loudest passage of music recorded on 78 up till that time the opening for 2001 the drums and horns good stuff I will do an update as my electric 78 system has improved since the last time I recorded it and post it at least the first movement anyway.
I also have death and transfiguation and equally interesting piece.
