This is a beauty..."Lawd You Made The Night Too Long", pressed on a lovely super silent laminated pressing in just NEW condition. This is 12 inch Brunswick 20109. 80 RPM, 2.mil TE stylus, 13 April 1932, New York City.
Enjoy!

Remarkable, Sean...What's on the flip side?
Also, 5:17 is a very long side, even for a 12" disc!
Any idea whose the back-up orchestra is? Or the arrangement? Kind of reminds me of "New Orleans" in the same series, with Red Nichols, the Boswells, Chick Bullock, et al.

Sorry, it's Don Redman...forgot to include that detail. The flip is a rather dull Victor Young number "Jazz Nocturne", I believe. It wasn't worth transferring!

Here's a different version by the Pickens Sisters, released here on the Zonophone label.

I would love to be able to hear "Jazz Nocturne" as it features a vocal by one of my favorite
singers Frank Munn. Would you possibly reconsider transferring it? I would really appreciate it.

This is great. The sound is wonderful. Every time I listen to Crosby from this era I shake my head again over his Decca sides which just ain't the same.

Anyone know how many 12" sides Der Bingle cut for Brunswick? I only ever see the 10 inch.
I slightly concur with the above post as well, the Decca sides have some moments, but I think he peaked as a solo singer while at Brunswick. Just classic stuff.

One other was the "St. Louis Blues" that he did with Ellington. It is more common on the red Columbia repressing.

I assume you mean "peaked vocally." As a popular artist, he certainly had some very good [earning] years in the '40s-'50s! Movies, too.
