Very cool! Not bad, considering you paid half of what it cost when new!

Excellent buy. The reproducer is worth more than what you paid for everything! :)

Here's a thread on some A-series Edison Disc Phonographs, including a couple of A-150s:

Awesome! I just picked up an A-100 about 2 weeks ago for $50, Mine was missing the grill though but it works great! I think these are neat machines! A little Lemon oil on the finish and it should be looking good as new!

Very nice!

Looks as though you need the framework around the motor plate…

yes I it is I will be looking into getting some original pieces if I can or fabricate something to match not perfect solution but until I can find pieces it will have to do at least it doesn't affect operation :clover:

Ah...the one from Norton, yes? Several people I know responded to the ad and heard nothing back all week. This left us scratching our heads and wondering if it was a hoax. I'm glad it wasn't. Congratulations -- it'll be a very nice machine once restored!

Yes it was that one I lucked out and responded to ad like less than an hour after it was posted and heard right back then it was kind of silent trying to set up an appointment then bang I heard back about coming to get it on sat. could be it was the Thanksgiving holiday too. they were very Nice people. It could be she was just holding it for me to be the one to get it. I am usually too late for these kind of deals but Yeah Me! I won this time! I have been wanting a DD machine for a while and prices and size keep me out this was just the one for me. and the wife likes it too so it may live in our Great Room. I find it to be a stylish machine. She isn't too enamored of my Amberola 30 or my Victrola table top so it's cool she likes it and she thinks it sounds better too. so now on to collecting DD I have a ton of 78's a few cylinders but I think I will concentrate on DD for a little bit. I collect mostly classical and violin music though Tommy Dorsey is cool to but that's strictly a 78 performer

A very good buy Dwight. You might give George Vollema a try for the missing cabinet false work trim that goes around the bedplate.

Is it my eyes, or is the left inside of the cabinet angled to reflect a bit more sound upward from the horn? The 80 has one or two inner pieces for similar purposes...
