Victor V and matching cabinet

I just picked this Ebay purchase up last night. I was the only bidder and it went for $3900.
I am kind of surprised nobody else bid; but, I suppose the fact that it was pick up only might have been a problem for some.
Anyway, I am really thrilled to add this to my collection! I have only had one other matching phonograph with a matching cabinet that I regrettably sold many years ago.
I don't think I paid too much; but, who knows? I couldn't resist it anyway. It looks to be in great original condition. The only issue being a small hole one panel of the horn which I plan to have Don Gfell repair for me next year.

A beautiful pair...I'm no expert but i think you got a pretty good deal.
You're right about pick-up only items..it limits the potential buying audience substantially...
..which in this case, was a good thing for you.

Exactly.....what Jerry said. I thought finding the Vic 3 with matching stand the other week was cool, but this is stunning!!. I have a feeling the hole in the horn can be mended almost invisible. Did the seller have the little piece??.
Unfortunately the dividers were remove in my new stand (as they normally are). Does your cabinet have them?.

Nice pick up.
As great a paring as Rogers and Astaire.
I love the cabinet and the Vic V looks great on top of it.

Your cabinet appears to be one of the "Cabinet That Matches" line. I have a similar one on which I rest my Columbia BII:
I paid about the same (3800) 5 years ago for my Victor V and matching serpentine clawfoot cabinet, which I also picked up locally (craigslist find):
