What is the correct reproducer to play the Columbia 4 min indestructable records? Can they be played with a Diamond B ?

A 4-minute Columbia indestructable is made from celluloid, just like an Edison Blue Amberol, therefore can be played with any reproducer suitable for Blue Amberol's.

That's what I assumed but you know what happens sometime when you make assumptions. Thank you for clarifying it. Jan

Technically, because of the groove size, a 2 minute sapphire is the proper fit for a 2 minute Indestructible. The stylus in a diamond B is made much smaller in order to fit the smaller grooves in a 4 minute record. However, it does work well and doesn't seem to cause any wear. The cylinders also sound much better than when played with a sapphire reproducer.
