Removing the reproducer from the tone arm

This is a question from a novice. I am making my first attempt to rebuild a Victrola #2 reproducer. I am having trouble removing the reproducer from the tone arm. I removed both set screws and put a little penetrating oil on the area where the tone arm goes into the flange gasket - I am now giving it time to work. Anything else I should know? I am reluctant to pull too hard for fear of damaging something.

Are you aware that it is a "bayonet" base and must be turned anticlockwise a little in order for it to slip off?

FloridaClay is correct, see the pic...
The set screws need to be in place to keep the isolator (rubber grommet) from spinning. A slight rotation and then pull straight out should work. You may also remove the crook (u-tube) first if the isolator is really tight, that may help you get a better grip.
If you are able to turn the reproducer, it will come off.
