Re-Posting with a lower price-- I'm open to trades as well as selling, as long as it's something smaller.
I also have the Amberola 75 posted earlier-- Very nice machine! Thanks!!-- Brad
My Schoolhouse has to go.
I lost a corner in the dining room when we knocked out a wall during a remodel. I just don't have the room to do it justice.
I've had this machine for around 16 years. It was purchased from a family in Luray, VA whose great-grandmother used it in a local one room schoolhouse. I wish I knew the name of the school. Anyway--- At some point someone stripped the finish and saved the decal--of course the finish around the decal is darker than the rest of the machine. There are a couple small "bumps" on the back corners (see pics). The back right side of the lid has a small sliver of wood missing. The back left corner of the cabinet looks like it may have bumped into a wall (probably during a square dance at the school!)
Other than that, the case is very nice. The grain on the horn and case is really nice. I have rebuilt the motor... I haven't rebuilt the reproducer, but will gladly do so if the buyer so desires.
Take a look at the pictures (excuse the dust) and let me know if there is an interest. I can take additional pictures of whatever part of the machine you'd like to see. I will not ship the machine. If someone wants it shipped, they would need to arrange all details. I prefer local pick-up in the Northern Virginia area---- OR, I am located between the I-81 and I-95 corridors, so would be happy to meet someone along either interstate (Near D.C. on I-95-- or near Winchester, VA on I-81)--- OR-- possible delivery to the Charlotte Show (2/28)-- OR possible delivery to Wayne in April. Thanks for looking.
