Nipper Radiator Cap.... Marriage???

Just saw this listing on Ebay which looked very interesting as I have never heard Nipper Radiator Cap' before but the listing after it really threw up some red flags.
What are the members take on this item?? Looks like a marriage to me??

There are several known examples of this Nipper radiator mascot. The figurine used for these was also used for the round needle display. Mine is featured in Volume I of the Book "Nipper Collectibles" by Joan & Robin Rolfs:

Thanks for the info... were these made of pot metal??
I see the cast nipper alone showing up occasionally on Ebay but many look to be fractured or cracked.

Yes, they are made of pot metal. The one on eBay right now looks like nipper got into a dog fight

Definitely a marriage of two disparate metals; even the photos betray the origins, if you look carefully.

The mascot and the cap are 2 different pieces made from 2 different metals, yes. They were all like this.
