Hello to all :)

These two beautiful Victrolas, I have acquired in the past couple of years. I love Victrolas, but at the time I am trying to save funds, and my goal this year is to sell my home. Even though it is REALLY TOUGH to sell these machines, I feel that another collector would appreciate them more than I would. I just joined the forum not that long ago to have my questions answered, and there are some very knowledgeable and great people on here, and I want to say thank you for welcoming me and answering my questions. This will not be the end of my collecting, as I collect anything from A-Z. But for now, if the time is right and I find a potential buyer, I will make this happen. I will try to provide as much detail as I can. Please, if you any questions or concerns, I prefer if you do give me a call. My number is 910-467-9931. I am located here in North Carolina.

Please excuse any dust that you see in the pictures :)

VV-VXII:

Posted below are images of this machine. Serial number plaque is in excellent shape, still have matching warranty sticker inside. Serial is VV-XVII 14648. Its in excellent condition for its age. This machine has not been refurnished, I purchased this from the family who has had it for years. Plays and sounds GREAT! Includes numerous records with their original victor cases. Also includes the key

VV-220 18139

All machines play and operate nicely. I myself have not done anything to these machines besides clean them on the outside.

Again if you have any questions and don't mind making a phone call, give me a ring (910) 467-9931 and I can try my best to answer any questions that you may have.

Kind regards,

Clint

Well, you know the old saying: "If you have to ask, you can't afford it." But that XVII is such a beautiful, over-the-top design -- the semi-bombe panels make it look like it's just full of music that wants to bust out! Really the Lillian Russell of Victrolas, tho I've also heard them compared to Mae West...anyway, buxom for sure...

right. I'm sorry I haven't yet reached that degree of financial security that must allow you to customarily make such purchases by merely handing over blank checks.

I don't normally go for cut off Victrolas but with an attractive top it would be quite nice. Actually, the key escutcheon is nearly worth the asking price. It's a tough one to find. Jerry

The VV-220 will be a very very tough sale - I had a 220 in near mint condition I sold it for $150.00 because nobody wants the consoles - for reasons unknown to me. (maybe they use up too much room?)

(Brian, it's a joke. J. P. Morgan reportedly said that when asked how much it cost to maintain his fleet of yachts. People have repeated it in situations like the one above for over a century. Sorry if you thought it was directed at you...it wasn't!) :)
