Nothing stirring here.
It looks beautiful and ready to be placed in any home.
The text says it all and someone will be very proud to own it.
James.

He states in his text that it was maticulously refinished and has some reproduction parts so who ever wants it knows what their getting.
Always does a nice presentation with the pictures and the white background but it's pretty obvious the buyers are not collectors.

PS the auction ain't over yet....

Repro horn.
Too much money for what you get. But, that's all good. Makes the truly good stuff worth more!!

I would have to second that James. The seller is also a respected member of our forum. Not too sure what is "unbelievable"??.

Great salesmanship if you ask me. $ 3,800 for a home with a modern cygnet horn!
The seller did an excellent job of describing what was and was not done to the Home but the video is what put it over the top.
If I ever sell one of my collection on Ebay I will take his lead, as he easily doubled the selling price with the professional job.

Wow!!!! Great presentation and description. What is unbelievable is the final price. You can buy a nice original oak horn Triumph for around $2800.00. I would have to agree, I don't think the buyer is a seasoned Phonograph collector but just someone looking for a super nice looking machine to display in the home or office. All the power to sellers who can achieve these kind of results. Lets hope we can all be as successful when the time comes to part with our collections.

Not sure what is unbelievable? Well, I have a couple of Edisons much nicer for you at that price! I am sick of this [crap].

As a collector of phonographs and gramophones for over forty years I would not buy this refinished machine.
That said, (as has already been pointed out), the seller was totally frank about it's condition in his description.
The final selling price is supprisingly high, but I am sure that the new owner will be pleased with his purchase.
