Request: Photos and Dimensions of Edison A-250 Crank

Post by Garret »

Hello, all!

Would any of you be able to post a picture of an Edison A-250 Diamond Disc phonograph crank with the relevant dimensions? I don't think the one on my Edison A-250 is correct, as I can't wind the A-250 with the lid closed. In any case, any photos and information any of you have to offer would be greatly appreciated. I think I need a replacement, but am not quite sure what I am looking for; the dimensions are especially needed.

Thanks!

Here you go.

Measuring from the center of each bend and starting from the end of the leg that screws in to the motor, the dimensions are approximately 3 ¾" x 4 ½" x ⅝" (the latter to the flare under the wooden handle. It should be gold plated.

Florida Clay,

Thank you so much! One more question. What is the yellow distance noted in yellow in picture below?

4 ½ inches, measured from the middle of each of the two bends, as indicated.

Thank you very much! At least I now know that the crank I currently have is incorrect, and I have identified a replacement on eBay. It will be good to get it straightened out after living with this problem for over 5 years!
