I bought this gramophone from an antique store in downtown Cairo, can any one help try to identify its model ad it's authenticity, please?
Pictures attached.
Thanks!

It appears to be a reproduction.

Yes, and now they are even "ageing" them!

Is it because of the welding at the end of the horn??

Yes, plus the reproduction back bracket, the glass panels, and the fact that HMV never made anything remotely like that!

That's the most obvious, yes. However, there are many other indicators that it is not a genuine HMV machine. The horn itself resembles many of the Indian reproduction horns we see quite often, and the side panels of the cabinet are a product of fantasy. The back bracket and tonearm look suspect as well. It may have a few genuine parts, likely from a derelict portable that has been re-purposed to create this.

Can't identify it? I can't even see it!
But based on the previous comments, I believe that gramophone is called a Crapophone.
