Electromophon was made by the company "Albert Ebner & Co., in Stuttgart, Germany. Electric motor 90 - 250 volt with the reproducer being accoustic, and usually marked "Electromophon" on the front. Electromophone also supplied reproducers made mainly of wood.

The bit that the seller has on the arm is not a reproducer, more like a mic or speaker part. Company Albert Ebner & Co existed to 1936 when it merged with another company.

The Ebner name continued post-1945 on the Rex Perpetuum-Ebner, a 4-speed autochange deck with an automatic sizing mechanism which enabled it to play a mixture of record diameters.

The UK distributor was Howland-West Ltd, later known as HW International. The company was acquired by Shure in 2003.

The eBay Ebner would be worth having for the lid transfer alone ;) .
