Just posted my Lakeside Rotometer for sale on eBay. It is about the coolest phonograph gadget you'll ever see. Really!

You can be the only person on your block (planet?) to own one.

Good luck! Cliff

Interesting! Is the inner post calibrated at all?

There doesn't appear to be any calibration marks on the device. I've tried this on several turntables. Some have recessed centers, so the post would be lower and need to be adjusted higher. A turntable with a not-recessed center would need a different adjustment.

It came with an Edison BC-34 I bought some time back and was probably set for that machine. There is an adjustment screw on the base to raise or lower the post end of the device platform to accommodate different turntables and speeds plus or minus approx. 10 rpm from 78 rpm. I guess you'd have to actually count and time the rpms to get a calibration on this goody.

Not exactly the same thing, but a similar example on the planet... :)

But look! Here's a Rotometer, and it was found right here on our planet! :)

I thought there could be another ROTOMETER somewhere on the planet, wasn't sure. Mine is a wee bit different than the one pictured.

The PHONOMETER is exceptionally cool!

Thanks for the info! Cliff

Mine is different than the one pictured. It is a bit more deluxe with a knurled adjusting screw at the pivot, an adjustment screw on the base near the spindle hole, and the spindle end is bent down instead of up. Maybe the one pictured is a TRU-TIMER..?? They're both unique. Cool! CDB
