Hi-
Looking for 78s and cylinders with themes relating to archaeology or colonial history and those about groundhogs or woodchucks.

I have a half dozen 78s in the later category but not much else along these lines besides Jones and Hare's "Old King Tut".

Discs I already have:
Standard Disc Record 3334 Groundhog Day at Pumpkin Center- Cal Stewart
King 596 Groundhog- Homer and Jethro
RCA Victor 20-1951 The Woodchuck Song- Tex Beneke and the Miller Orchestra
Mercury 6212 Groundhog Blues- Claude Boone
Federal 12136 Ground Hog Snooper- Fred Clark

I don't have any of these, but here are a couple of "tributes" to the estimable Marmota monax:

Modern Records 853 (?)

John Lee Hooker--Ground Hog Blues

You should look for Bob Roberts singing the "Woodchuck Song" on cylinder records. I am pretty sure that I have somewhere a 2M version on either Edison or Indestructible. The YouTube clip features a 4M version on Indestructible.
