I'm looking for ideas on how I want to display my phonographs and since I'm kinda stumped, figured I ask on here. How do you display your treasures? Pics would make this a very proud thread.

The best way is to measure your homes square footage. Then get rid of your bedroom set and fill up the bedroom with uprights and consoles. Next buy a couch with a fold out bed. Get rid of your end tables and get a couple of short Victor Orthophonics instead. Get rid of you dining room set and fill that room up with Edison cylinder phonographs. Next I would suggest using your closet space for spare phonograph parts and keep all your clothes in your Victrola's record storage compartments - stuff like socks and underwear. You can also squeeze a few table top models into your bathroom but watch out for excessive humidity when taking a shower. If you have children just make space in the basement for them. Move the car out of the garage and use that space for storing and displaying your Columbia models, or maybe a Sonora or a Brunswick. Save your kitchen counter space for your smaller machines like the Columbia Q and Eagle. Any other small areas such as your kitchen cabinets and bathroom vanities can be used to safely store your cylinder record collection. The doors will keep the dust and dirt off your records. PS: It's very important to get your wife's permission to start this small project as it may disrupt her daily activities a bit

WOW Is all I can say I think we all our obsessions but sometimes things get out of hand and things take over if we don't watch out. I only have a couple of machines and I think that may be enough unless something spectacular comes along. I guess I am a casual collector more interested in records but like machines too. I just don't want them to take over. If I had a huge house or separate bdlg. then ok. Kudos to the people who this is their life mission! I have an old oak buffet mid 1800's that I just cleaned up I put the Amberol 30 and Victrola on top the two top drawers are great for cylinders the bottom for discs My Indian rug completes the look I just need a better light fixture I'll post my modest setup when I get it all set. I am still looking for a record cabinet for my discs (read cheap cost) I have to please the wife
