What Model G&T Gramophone is this?

The Decal indicates French origin.
The machine looks "early", with what appears to be an Early Victor 6 type motor and ball bearing turntable, with forward slotted crank.
The finish on the cabinet appears to be "two toned".
The seller states that it is 38 by 38 by 18.5cm.

Looks like the "top of the line" for it's time

You just gotta love that enormous aluminum horn!

I don't know if the two tone effect is intended. I've seen other pieces of furniture with similar steam stamped mouldings(or are they composition) and the finish has flaked off of them but not off the rest of the wood.

The machine appears to be a French variant of the Triple Spring Monarch, but I have not seen this particular style of case before. The oversize aluminium horn was an extra cost option of the period.

The closest thing that I could find on the web, are these two pictures from phonogalerie.com.
This machine appears to be later, with a more typical Senior Monarch "two-toned" case.

That's quite cheap for a triple-spring Monarch equipped with aluminium "Concert" horn.

The case is heavily reworked and not up to the usual Gramophone Co. standard. My impression is that the machine was bought for parts, especially the scarce aluminium horn.

Gosh, I could use that motor for my Victor Vi project cabinet. That motor would , I think, be worth seven or eight hundred dollars over here. As for that lovely aluminum horn, WOW!

I have one of those horns, in excellent condition, it is huge. I only bought the machine because I wanted te horn.

Well I finally finished bringing this machine back up to "snuff".
I hope you like how it came out.
They say "a picture is worth 1000 words", so here is a Video!

Hi

Very very nice, you have done a great job cleaning it up, the machine and horn look fantastic, I might have to polish my horn.
