I recorded this test cylinder the other day it is dubbed from a 1933 Banner record with an electro acoustic process. I am very impressed by the wide audio response, and the fullness of the voice, the electrical sounding bass, and the fact that the high hats are clear as bells. This is recorded with the early 1890s recorder with new glass diaphragm. The speaker is encapsulated in a 27" metal horn, and sealed at the large end, there is acoustic absorbing material in back of the 5" full range Pioneer big screen TV speaker, which was driven by a Marantz 2235B receiver, American DJ mixer, and RCA fishtail magnetic pickup used.

Not hi-hats on that, it's a snare drum and a small hand choked cymbal being played with brushes.

Sounds nice!
