I have a few Ambersol cylinders that the previous owner stored carelessly, some appear in good condition, some are slightly damaged and some appear to be destroyed. I wonder if the slightly damaged ones with minor pits and scratches can be repaired and how?

I am not sure of the answer to your question, but pictures would greatly help in understanding the specific problems. Can you post a pic or two?

Generally speaking, Blue Amberol cylinders cannot be repaired once damaged. Playing damaged cylinders can chip your stylus or worse. Many Blue Amberols are common enough to be able to find a replacement relatively easily and inexpensively.

Thanks for the responses. Thanks for pointing out my spelling error. I know the correct spelling, just careless, I guess.
As for repairing the cylinders, That was what I was thinking, that they couldn't be repaired. The previous owner neglected both the phonograph and the cylinders. I've just about finished restoring the phonograph, now the cylinders need to be inspected and cleaned. I won't try to play the damaged ones.
