Does anyone have any information on these adult records. I was going through my stack that has been sitting in a corner for a couple years and found 7 or 8.

They are all 78's and are adult oriented but very funny.

The label on 4 or them is KICKS and the others are High Society.

I googles them but did not come up with anything even though they look like probably part of a series.

I saw a few on Ebay with a high asking price which is probably why they are still there...LOL

Any info would be appreciated.

Blizz, What you have are Party Records. I'm guessing they were made from the 1930's-"50's. I have a pretty good collection of these. The fancier the label with pictures such as Kicks, or Party Time are risque, but tame. The plainer the label with a typed title and even handwritten titles get pretty raunchy and are pretty vulgar. The plain label records really get down and dirty. You would not play these in mixed company. The disks are fair quality and they really wear down needles. You definitely have to change the needle after each side. The plain label records are scarce, and go for some bucks. There is a CD of early brown wax cylinders that are pretty raunchy. The originals were found in a vault and were recorded onto a CD. There is even Cal Stewart of Uncle Josh fame talking nasty. I have to look at the title of the CD and where you get it from.

Thanks Harvey

These labels are pretty much just white with the Label name and record title printed on them. I played a couple and they are more funny then raunchy but have very sexual overtones ...LOL..

The CD Harvey is referring to is "Actionable Offenses", it was put out by Arcehophone maybe five years ago. It's worth having, although I think I've only played the disc once.

Thanks Sean. I found the CD. You can get it from Amazon. It's worth getting. It's a real hoot considering these rare recordings are from the 1890's.

Strangely enough, in a church thrift shop I found a stack of PEARL records featuring Larry Vincent. Now, Vincent was more playful than dirty but it was still a surprise.

"Mr Wong has the Longest Tong in China" and my favorite of his "Let me kiss her two sweet lips (and I'll leave Her Behind for You)"
