1931 Radiola neat machine!

I know this isn't the stuff we usually talk about here and it has probably been posted before but I was so impressed with this machine and the great presentation of it I had to share. Anybody with the love of mechanical gizmos will love it! I wouldn't mind having one!

Fascinating! I thought the long-play (LP) record was introduced in 1948, but it does appear that RCA came out with one in 1931 as

In fact, Edison came out with an LP record back in 1926: it didn't catch on either, because of technical problems; but the 33 ⅓ format survived for some years as radio transcription discs.
