I have to share a couple of pictures of the cleaned up Green Oak Home A sn.146806 that I bought from Shawn O. here: http://forum.talkingmachine.info/viewto ... =9&t=15887.

I think it came out very nice, I don't mind the missing parts of the label that were dissolved by the "gunk" (oil or grease, I believe) that was on it.

Gives it character. ;)

It plays strong and loud. I'm a happy camper! :)

Very nice machine that you got at a fair price. You did a great job cleaning it up. It pays to buy from forum members.

It looks great, Fran!

Some of the green oak Edison cabinets are not very green at all, but your looks like it came from the Emerald City! :)

I agree, Harvey! So far, I've purchased from Jerry B. (Columbia AO) and this instrument from Shawn. I couldn't be happier, and the generosity of the folks here on TMF isn't lost on me. Someday, I hope I can do the same for others.

I know! I was sooo happy when the green "came out"! I took some pictures with the camera yesterday but the flash bleached out the green terribly. Today, in natural light, it really pops!
