Ooooooh! Still nicely preserved. So is that the going rate for an empty Columbia Gothic cabinet?

I paid $800 for an very nice empty cabinet at Union about 10 years ago.

Is it me, or has this been available for a while? I seem to remember a couple of people attempting to sell this cabinet at sky-high prices on eBay over the years.

These are interesting and valuable machines and this cabinet looks to be in nice condition. Still and all, $7,500??

How hard would it be to find the mechanism? Were they the same as used on some more common models that might be available? If not, you could be looking for a long time I'd think.

Garret, I think you may be thinking about a different complete machine that has been popping up periodically on eBay at a high price for awhile. In fact it is up again at $15,000--and it looks to me as though this one might have had parts of it none too well repainted.
