APSCO steel needle review:

I just bought some needles from the Antique Phonograph Supply Company (APSCO) and am very happy with them! I got both soft and loud tone, and both are equally well made. The quality among the individual needles is very consistent and they have nice rounded/polished tips. Needle wear per play looks appropriate; they conform to the groove in the first couple revolutions. I noticed no record dust when playing a clean record! Here are some close-up pictures of a soft and loud tone needle.

The soft tone needles supplied by APSCO are very good. They have a very slender shaft with a very slender tip. As the needle wears away, the very slender tip is less likely to cause damage to the sides of the groove. Some of the other brands have a more blunt tip.
