Thought I'd share this wonderful choral DD from a pioneering African-American composer:

Hi Bill.
Thank you for posting Swing Along!. Aside from being an impressive choral piece, it's a welcome tonic to the innumerable racially-charged "comic" songs by the likes of Billy Golden (to name just one). Swing Along! instead comments gently on the dividing lines of race in the late 19th/early 20th century and exhorts the listener to be proud, dignified and joyous. It's one of my favorite pieces.
I've gone through 4 or 5 different copies trying to find a decent pressing. All of them seem to have higher than normal background noise, especially on the flip side (Kentucky Babe). You copy seems to be about as good as ever I have found on Diamond Disc. Ironically, the dubbed Blue Amberol version seems to have a bit less, but as it's a dub, it has other sonic problems.
Thanks again for posting!
