This horn (pics) I wonder / would it be "right" for any Edison cylinder machine? Or would it require a machine that has a completely horizontal soundbox so to say?
Production date would be the same as the patents on the decal?
grateful for any info!!

In the United States, the black #11 Cygnet would be correct for the Triumph or Alva models. A wood grained #11 would be correct on a Triumph, Alva, or Idealia. I hope this helps. Jerry

Hello,
The #11 Cygnet horn is much more difficult to find than the #10. You have a nice horn and as Jerry has said it would be correct for a Triumph or Alva. It fits best on a Triumph if you have a horizontal carriage but can be used with a slanted carriage if you use 45 degree adapter fitting( see my pictures)

You also need a different crane for the large carriage Triumph if you want the horn to hang properly.

Thanks!!! Yes that looks very right - on the Triumph, looks just great! I only have a Standard - and I guess it will be too big for that one - so then either I'll let it go or I'd have to find a Triumph...

Find the Triumph, Find the Triumph, Find the Triumph!!! Triumphs turn up fairly regularly. But the 11 panel Cygnet horn is very tough to find. You are most fortunate to have a good original condition. I'd keep it if I were you.
