If you own a C-250 I'd love to see pics of these monsters, just out of curiosity !, I should hopefully be buying a C-250 chippendale laboratory model soon, and if there was any machine for me to underestimate the size of it, trust it to be this one  , providing I can get it past my mum, then I have a good spot for it, but it is very big :? :D

I don't have any pictures of mine, but it is big indeed (and worth every penny it cost)! They are fine machines and, if you get a good adapter (with good tracking and a good reproducer) they can play standard 78's better than most machines designed for them.

Are there any external / dimensional differences between a C-250 and a C-19 ?

To the best of my knowledge, the differences is the C-250 has record drawers, and the C-19 has vertical record slats. There might be other differences, but I don't know what they are.

Frow says the dimensions are the same for the C-250 and C-19.

Here is my C-19, I bought it last year from OrthoSean and finally picked it up last week. I even found the original manual wedged behind the record slats (I caught a glimpse of it while attempting to evict an elusive spider). The photos make the finish look splotchy, but it's just a reflection from all the Howard's Feed-n-Wax I smeared it with after I cleaned it. :D

I just measured my C-19 in oak... it is 4 ft 4 inches tall !

Probably the tallest of internal-horn machines... my 1909 L-Door Victrola is only 4 ft 1 inch tall... ;)

It is the two-tiered record storage that accounts for the height of the machine...

(BTW - My C-19 has two tiers of record slats... :) )

From all that I've read and what others have stated, including George P., the C-250 and C-19 cabinets for a very short period of time both share drawers, so, they could be identical in all characteristics, except for data plates and bedplate pinstriping, I believe.
