Missing the fancy grill that you will never find and I don't see a reproducer. Funny, that is the only thing that is somewhat attractive about an H-19... but the motor is worth that price... (maybe if it works - there has to be some reason that it's not in the case).

Right, I was thinking maybe a $20 bill could end up grabbing it. It looks like the cabinet has been stripped.

I had considered buying this, as a summer vacation project. I think it would be above my skill level, and I have no room anyway. I hope it finds a decent home!

I appreciate your idea of restoring the H-19, since I made that same mistake years ago. I bought one with the grill in pieces for $80, thinking it was a bargain for a Diamond Disc machine. I spent hours piecing the grill together and gluing it to an office folder for strength, then cutting it out with an X-acto knife. The diamond was bad in the reproducer, so I had to buy a replacement. The cabinet needed re-gluing and some pieces of veneer were missing...

Long story short, I invested a lot of time and money into a machine that nobody wanted. I figured the restoration experience was worth while.

Then, as I was planning to move it on a furniture dolly, it decided to start down the driveway by itself, hit a bump and fell face forward onto the cement. Good news, the grill held together, but the molding in front got cracked, the motor broke away from the mounts and I had to start all over again... I ended up selling it for practically nothing.

I HATE H-19s and never want to see another...LOL Besides, they have to be the ugliest machine that Tom ever dreamed up...

You could do as the Edison Co did in the late 1920s, and use it as a cabinet for an Amberola 30 ...
